Hide IP Review
Hide IP is not a VPN service. It’s a proxy service but, for some users, that will supply all the functionality they need and, thus, Hide IP merits attention. This is a good option for people who just need a different IP to surf from but there are issues with this provider that may make others better choices.

Hide IP vs. The Competition
Hide IP is useful if you only need an IP that looks like it’s coming from the US or the UK or, at least, that’s not your own. There is encryption on the connection, but this is not a true VPN tool. It only works with the communication your browser engages in. It does not, for example, hide instant messenger traffic, hide downloads or hide any other types of traffic.
Hide IP Conclusion
Hide IP is a decent service, but it has some drawbacks. It hasn’t really been updated in years, however, and there are some issues with it. Software that sometimes requires users to hack their own registries to make it work is generally not the ideal solution.
PrivateInternetAccess might be a better solution than this provider. There is very limited range of IP addresses that you can get with Hide IP and they’re from only two nations. An updated client and more IP addresses might make it more tempting than it is at present. The price, however, is very attractive and proxies are faster than VPN services.
