VyprVPN Rolls Out Version 1.1 for Mac
If you’re a Mac user and you use VyprVPN, or you have been considering the service, you’ll be glad to know that VyprVPN version 1.1 for Macintosh has been released. According to the company, the new version offers enhanced performance and takes care of some of the bugs that users have been reporting.
The Changes
Version 1.1 of the VyprVPN VPN client for Mac has been changed to make life easier for Macintosh users. Users who utilize the L2TP protocol may have had issues with connectivity after having connected and disconnected several times. That has been fixed in the new version. Users who are on OX X 10.7 and below will also be able to get “Growl” notifications on the new client.
Some users may have been getting notifications that updates were available for the VyprVPN client when that wasn’t the case. That issue has been fixed, as has the update process.
Two other bugs that have been fixed were the “Launch application on login option” not functioning and a bug that prevented the application from notifying the user right away when the network connection was lost. Some users may have had problems with the feature that makes the client reconnect automatically when a connection was lost not functioning and that has also been fixed.
The VyprVPN client will give users the system menu when they use the right mouse click on it and will now display the NAT firewall status correctly, as well.
Updating
If you’re on VyprVPN, you can update the Macintosh client by clicking “Check for updates” in the system menu for VyprVPN. You can also go to the Golden Frog website and download the new version directly.
