IPVanish has released an upgrade to its Mac client. The client allows users on the Mac OS to connect to the IPVanish VPN service much more easily than doing so manually. Some of the improvements will likely be welcome news to Mac users.
The improvements include better OpenVPN logging. The upgrade also improves the DNS handling for OpenVPN connections. The log viewer itself has also been improved, making it easier to take a look at your connections and usage history. The update time for the server list has also been improved, according to the company.
There were some bugs with the connect at launch feature on the former version of the Mac OS client. The new upgrade fixes those issues, in addition to its other improvements, making it more reliable for users.
IPVanish is one of our preferred providers. They offer PPTP, L2TP and OpenVPN connectivity over their servers. They also allow users to switch between servers as much as they want and to take advantage of unlimited bandwidth on their accounts.
The service has also added new locations to their lineup of servers this month, including servers in: Mumbai, India; Riga, Latvia; Oslo, Norway; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The service has 3,500 IP addresses spread across more than 90 servers in 41 different nations.
