IPVanish Updates Android App, OSX App and Expands Servers in Asia
IPVanish has released several updates to their service. They affect servers located in Asia and the apps the company makes available for mobile users. Here’s the latest.
Android App Updates
The Android app has been updated to v1.0.13. It has several updates and fixes.
The OpenVPN version has been updated from the last app release. It now boasts full KitKat support. Those who were having an issue with a delay in account validation will find that has been resolved, as well. Your client will prompt you to update when you open it up.
OSX App Updates
The OSX client for IP Vanish has been updated to version 1.3.11. The improvements in this version include a fix for the delayed service initialization issue and fixes for some other minor bugs. Customers using the old version of this app will be prompted to update when they open it.
Asian Market Servers
IPVanish has added a new server in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to its lineup. This brings the service’s total number of IP addresses to more than 14,000 and their total server count up to more than 115. They’re now capable of providing connections from servers located in 51 different nations. As for their Asian market, their current lineup includes:
- Serangoon, Singapore, three servers
- Seoul, South Korea, two servers
- Bangkok, Thailand
- Istanbul, Turkey
- Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Tokyo, Japan, three servers
- Jakarta, Indonesia
- Mumbai, India
- New Delhi, India
- Hong Kong, China
IPVanish is a good provider. They have a no-logging policy and they use an IP address system that makes it impossible to tell who was using what IP when. This makes them great for people who are concerned about their anonymity and who want to take protecting it to the next level.
