Tiger VPN is based in Slovakia. The company started up in 2012, has a network large enough to be competitive with the biggest providers out there and offers a low-cost basic service package. They also allow you to accumulate Karma Points, which basically function as a referral bonus.
Pricing & Plans
Tiger VPN has very simple pricing. Currently they only offer a single plan that includes unlimited transfer and bandwidth, access to a forty three VPN server network and access to PPTP, L2TP and OpenVPN protocols. Each account includes two connections to the Tiger VPN servers. The pricing is as follows:
- S11.99 per month
The Tiger VPN plan can be purchased via credit cards and PayPal.
Free Trial/ Money-back Guarantee
There’s a three-day money back guarantee with this provider that also functions as a free trial. You can download their client at their site and login to the free trial from the startup screen.
Privacy & Anonymity
TigerVPN does not store any activity logs anywhere.
Logging Policy
TigerVPN does log your connection time and the amount of traffic you consume. They do not, according to their site, log the sites you visit or any other data.
Torrent Policy
Torrenting is allowed on this service, but they encourage users to be aware of what is legal and what is not in the nations where they connect.
Customer Support
There are extensive instructions for connecting various devices and using all three protocols that TigerVPN offers on their site. There is also a ticketing system available for Tiger VPN customers.
Product Testing
Tiger VPN advertises itself as software free—which all VPN services are, technically—but we tested their downloadable Windows client, which makes hooking up via OpenVPN very easy.
The client will help you find the fastest server near your location, though it allows you to connect to any server on the network. Connecting utilizes a swipe-type switch. Once you’re connected, a green bar displays along the top of the screen, indicating that your connection is secured.
TigerVPN has native apps for Mac, Windows and Android.
VPN Server Locations
TigerVPN has over 300 servers in 61 locations covering 40+ countries.
Countries Supported:
Speed Test
TigerVPN did very well in terms of speed. It slowed our connection a bit, from nearly 40Mbps to just more than 25Mbps, but connecting was smooth and the speed was still well within the range of broadband.
IPCheck and DNSLeak Test
Tiger VPN hid both our IP and DNS server addresses.

Areas for Improvement
Adding a full-featured iOS client would be an upgrade for this service.
Conclusion
TigerVPN is good. They offer a large network, a good logging policy and competitive prices. This service could use some more branding by way of a client for iOS, since that’s the only one they lack in terms of major platforms. But this is a service worth checking out for its privacy benefits and P2P policies.
